Ingredients
5 cups of white flour
1/2 cup grape seed oil (from a dark glass bottle)
1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
1/2 cup sugar (I use sucanat)
3 eggs
pinch of salt
50 grams of instant dry yeast
Directions
1. Mix the instant yeast in 1 1/2 cup lukewarm water
2. In a deep bowl put flour and create a well inside
3. pour the yeast and water into the flour
4. put all other ingredients and mix well with both hands (add more flour if you feel the mixture is too wet)
5. knead for 10 minutes, cover and let the dough rest until its doubled in size (if using instant yeast it should take no longer than 20 minutes)
6. After the dough doubled in size, flatten it to about 1/2 inch (appx. 1 centimeter) using a rolling pin and cut out little circles (I used a shot glass)
7. Place the circles on a greased parchment paper and let them double in size as well
8. After they doubled in size, fry mini doughnuts in a grape seed oil on both sides
9. before serving sprinkle with icing sugar
I didn’t use any filling (to cut down the sugar) but you can use your favourite filling 🙂
Enjoy!
