3 cups water
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons maple syrup
nuts of your choice (almond, hazelnuts, macademia, etc.)
dry fruit of your choice (raisins, prunes, dry blueberries, etc.)
Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in the oats and salt. Turn down the heat and simmer until the oatmeal has thickened and the oats are tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and fold in the dry fruit. Taste. Add maple syrup if you like a bit sweetness and sweeten to your liking. Divide the oatmeal into 4 small bowls and top with nuts and enjoy!
